Zuzana Niederdorfer
She received her masters degree in piano performance from the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Bratislava.
She was an award winner at many national ( four 1st prizes in solo and chamber music in Slovakia) and international competitions, including the Fryderyk Chopin competition in Mariánske Lázňe (Czech Republic), Incontro Internazionale Giovani Pianisti Citta di Senigallia (Italy), Paloma O’Shea in Santander (Spain) and the Robert Schumann competition in Zwickau (Germany). In 1993, she earned her doctor degree from the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.
She has performed solo recitals and collaborated with orchestras and chamber groups throughout Europe , China, and the United States.She taught more that 20 years on the faculty at the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Bratislava and currently is professor at the Kunstuniversität Graz in Austria and at the Academy of Arts in Banska Bystrica in Slovakia.
She is an internationally renown lecturer and teacher, has given masterclasses in Slovakia ,Czech republic,Slovenia, Lithuania, Finland, Island , the United States, Italy, Poland, China,Germany and is member of jury in national and international competitions. Since 10 years she founded an international festival and later national and international piano competition ,,Forum per tasti”.
